How to compare wheel offsets
- Find your current wheel's width in inches and offset (the ET number, in millimetres), usually stamped on the wheel.
- Enter the current width and offset.
- Enter the new wheel's width and offset.
- The tool converts widths to millimetres and shows how far the outer and inner edges move — positive is further out (poke), negative is further in (tuck).
Frequently asked questions
- What is wheel offset?
- Offset (marked ET, in millimetres) is the distance from the wheel's mounting face to its centreline. A higher offset tucks the wheel inward; a lower or negative offset pushes it outward.
- What do poke and tuck mean?
- Poke is when a wheel sits further out, toward or past the fender; tuck is when it sits further in. This tool reports the outer- and inner-edge movement in millimetres so you can judge clearance.
- Does a wider wheel change fitment?
- Yes. Extra width is split between the inner and outer edges relative to the centreline, so a wider wheel at the same offset moves both edges outward and inward. The tool accounts for both width and offset changes.
